The Queens Museum seeks a well-organized Facilities Manager with deep knowledge of
building systems and trades including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and maintenance.
Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the Facilities Manager oversees the smooth daily
operations of the Museum and maintains the building’s integrity and functioning so that the
physical plant meets the standards necessary to ensure the safety of the staff, public, and the preservation of the Museum’s archive and collection. The Facilities Manager is a key
representative of the QM and serves as a liaison with building engineers, outside contractors and vendors, and provides general supervision and support to the QM’s Facilities staff.
Successful candidates will have strong technical knowledge, adept computer, administrative, and communications skills with prior supervisory and vendor management experience and the proven ability to lead and delegate projects.
