Teaching artists promote the interpretation of visual art and material culture using a variety of strategies in Queens Museum galleries, public school classrooms and community centers across Queens. The Assistant will be responsible for maintaining the Salesforce donor database, processing acknowledgment letters, gifts, and memberships, conducting prospect research, and supporting special events. The Development Assistant reports to the Individual Giving and Events Manager and works closely with all members of the Development team.

The Director of Development (DOD) is a key member of the Executive Team and with the leadership of
the QM develops and manages the organization and business. They are responsible for and lead on all
aspects of revenue and income generating activities. Joining the QM at the time of exciting capital
expansion and the development of a Children's Museum, the DOD will lead on the development of a
Capital Campaign and a long term Development plan for QM. They will represent the Museum to a
broad spectrum of funders, community leaders, and external stakeholders. They are a member of the
senior team and participate in developing strategy with the Executive Team and Directors Group, and
the development and delivery of policies and a strategic business plan for QM.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the DOD works with the Executive Director and COO to ensure that
development strategies are aligned with the mission, vision, and values of the Queens Museum; lead
and manage the day-to-day activity of all development operations, including government, foundation,
and corporate fundraising; individual cultivation and stewardship, membership, annual fund programs,
and special events and programs.
The Queens Museum’s Registrar serves a key role in supporting a dynamic temporary exhibition program, as well as occasional touring exhibitions. Key responsibilities include coordinating fine art shipping, conservation, framing, packing, storage, and insurance for all temporary exhibitions, and coordinating cross-departmental communications regarding deliverables, installation schedules, safe installation and care, and visitor awareness. The Registrar will also be charged with care and documentation of the Queens Museum Fine Art collection.
The Institutional Relations and Grants Manager implements the Queens Museum’s institutional giving strategy by cultivating and stewarding new and existing relationships with private foundations, corporations, and governmental grantmaking agencies. This role is responsible for overseeing a $2 million portfolio of 50 institutional funders and a prospect pipeline. Key responsibilities include business development and relationship management, proposal writing, as well as rigorous tracking of correspondence, and cultivation and events.
The Youth & Family Programs Manager (YFPM) works closely with the Director of Education and QM team to create, implement and manage innovative learning programs providing high-quality art education for families and teens. They are part of the Content Team working across the Museum to create an integrated program of activity and also support QM’s goal of supporting intergenerational learning.
The Museum Experience Ambassador (MEA) role is an entry-level position that combines working as a key member of the Front of House Team with a professional development program aimed at opening pathways to careers in the cultural sector. Ambassadors are the primary representatives of the QM and are the visitors’ first point of contact. They create a positive and welcoming environment in all public-facing areas, and are responsible for facilitating an enjoyable experience at the QM. Ambassadors engage with visitors in the galleries, through interpersonal interactions and guided tours to build community relationships with the QM.
The Curatorial Assistant is a key part of the Exhibitions and Programs Team and is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of an integrated program of exhibitions and public programs. Reporting to the Director of Curatorial Affairs and Programs, they are responsible for a variety of curatorial and administrative tasks including exhibition research, planning, programs and events; managing contacts and correspondence; assisting with the coordination of catalogs, didactic materials, and exhibition documentation; and writing and editing exhibition-related copy.

The Queens Museum (QM) seeks 3 (three) outstanding artists for the position of In Situ Artist Fellowship. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Facilities Assistant is a key member of the
Facilities team responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of the Museum.

The Queens Museum seeks a well-organized Facilities Manager with deep knowledge of
building systems and trades including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and maintenance.
Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the Facilities Manager oversees the smooth daily
operations of the Museum and maintains the building’s integrity and functioning so that the
physical plant meets the standards necessary to ensure the safety of the staff, public, and the preservation of the Museum’s archive and collection. The Facilities Manager is a key

The Queens Museum seeks an experienced Security Guard with flexible ‘on-call’ availability to assist in safeguarding the museum building and assets. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, Security Guards are key front-facing team members who play a vital role in carrying out security and safety protocols at the QM and creating an overall safe environment for staff and visitors.
Key responsibilities include monitoring phones, security cameras and equipment while stationed at the Front Reception Desk, observing and monitoring the building for unusual occurrences and incidents, providing key updates to the Facilities Director and interfacing with public personnel including law enforcement and first responders.
