The Farm Manager will be responsible for preparing, planting and maintaining a 1-acre farm using exclusively organic methods. This position will report directly to the Director of Programs. The position oversees volunteers and interns on the farm, oversight and implementation of crop production, maintenance of farm infrastructure and as well as supporting the use of the farm by other QBG programs.

The Director, Development (DD) is a full-time fundraising position responsible for creating, implementing, and managing a robust fundraising plan to achieve annual contributed revenue goals for the operating fund. The DD will engage, track, and manage a portfolio of individual donors and members, corporate and foundation funders. The position will involve grant writing and management, prospect research, individual donor support and stewardship (including major gift solicitation), and support for year-round member and fundraising events, including the annual gala. Snug Harbor’s contributed revenue underwrites programs in the arts, gardens, farm, education, and workforce development.
This position reports to the Executive Vice President (EVP), who oversees fundraising, board development, government relations, and capital funding. The DD oversees a full-time Grants & Membership Coordinator. The DD will be an integral partner in Snug Harbor’s fundraising strategy, taking a lead role in growing the share of private support as part of Snug Harbor’s operating revenue. The Major Gifts Officer is an essential member of the Development team that will be responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with prospective major gift donors and planned giving donors. This involves full use of moves management principles, including prospect identification, and developing effective stewardship and solicitation strategies. The Major Gifts Officer will compile this information in a donor portfolio and emphasize gifts in excess of $10,000, with emphasis on those over $25,000 or greater. This individual will serve as a staff representative on the Museum’s Development Committee of the Board, and work directly with staff leadership to coordinate and execute long-term fundraising initiatives. The Director of Major and Individual Gifts is an essential member of the Development team that will be responsible for managing the Museum’s individual funder portfolio. This role focuses on raising funds from individuals through membership, annual gifts, planned gifts, and major gifts overseeing all individual giving activities. The Director also leads a team of three staff members dedicated for major gift cultivation and stewardship, patron communications, household and library member renewals and reporting, membership retention and acquisition, and organizing events in conjunction with other Development team staff. Additionally, the Director secures restricted gifts for Museum exhibitions, public programs, and education programs. This is a full-time, regular position that reports directly to the Executive Vice President.
The Director of Information Technology (IT) is an essential member of the IT team that will be responsible for the safety, security, and integrity of the Museum’s IT systems, which are housed onsite, at our offsite storage facility, and ‘in the cloud’. This role will lead the Museum through rapid technological changes and further the Museum’s mission by enhancing and maintaining technology systems throughout the organization. The Director will drive multiple technology and business strategies while striving to maintain maximum ROI on technology investments. The Director will also lead a team that will collaboratively ensure that IT systems and IT staff operate effectively within the constraints of budget, time, and organizational requirements. The Assistant will be responsible for maintaining the Salesforce donor database, processing acknowledgment letters, gifts, and memberships, conducting prospect research, and supporting special events.
