The Sustainable Agriculture Coordinator will work with the Youth Programs Manager and the Farm Manager to develop, launch, and implement Growing Justice, QBG’s new year-round sustainable agriculture and leadership development internship program for high school aged youth, as well as support the Farm Internship Program which serves young adults. Growing Justice will involve youth from the Flushing and Corona areas who participate in weekly workshops, hands-on urban farming, running a farm stand at QBG, and leadership development activities that engage them in advocacy and training in such areas as food justice, environmental sustainability, community health, green careers, and climate change. Additionally, the Sustainable Agriculture Coordinator will assist with the care of QBG’s Farm, Children’s Garden, and World Farm using 100% organic practices. This is a full-time, non-exempt position which requires work one weekend day.

The Museum seeks a Licensing and Marketing Coordinator to work directly with the VP of Marketing and Communications. The Marketing Coordinator supports the Museum’s earned income (sales) in the areas of TV and livestream content development, digital experiences, and consumer products. The Museum seeks a Prospect Research Coordinator responsible for identifying, researching, and analyzing prospects for solicitation. The Prospect Research Coordinator will primarily focus on major gift (individual) and corporate prospect research, with additional research for the institutional giving, special event, and planned giving areas as needed.
The Prospect Research Coordinator independently and proactively identifies and qualifies prospective individual and corporate major donors consistent with the Museum's priorities and objectives, ensuring that all fundraising initiatives have a continuous pool of prospects to meet ongoing fundraising goals. Utilizing general and specialized resources, the Prospect Research Coordinator oversees multiple lists of prospects. They will work directly with Development department heads and senior leadership to continually refine those lists as it relates to a prospect’s propensity and capacity to support both Museum operations and specific exhibitions.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Education. There is some offsite travel to schools, and occasional evenings and weekend days required.
Primary duties include:
Facilitate and oversee all learning experiences for students in pre-K to 12th grade students including in-person and virtual academic year field trips, and summer camps
Support partnership programs/courses on range of topics including natural sciences, art, and local history and teacher professional workshops
In collaboration with education staff, research, compile, and write pedagogically appropriate lesson plans with a progressive, social, and environmental justice-oriented teaching and learning style
Manage and maintain supplies and education spaces
Supervise and train school program interns
Work with the Office Manager/Registrar to ensure efficient administration of all school programming including scheduling/booking programs, ordering supplies, and processing check requests
Support department and institutional programs as needed
