The Director, Development (DD) is a full-time fundraising position responsible for creating, implementing, and managing a robust fundraising plan to achieve annual contributed revenue goals for the operating fund. The DD will engage, track, and manage a portfolio of individual donors and members, corporate and foundation funders. The position will involve grant writing and management, prospect research, individual donor support and stewardship (including major gift solicitation), and support for year-round member and fundraising events, including the annual gala. Snug Harbor’s contributed revenue underwrites programs in the arts, gardens, farm, education, and workforce development.
This position reports to the Executive Vice President (EVP), who oversees fundraising, board development, government relations, and capital funding. The DD oversees a full-time Grants & Membership Coordinator. The DD will be an integral partner in Snug Harbor’s fundraising strategy, taking a lead role in growing the share of private support as part of Snug Harbor’s operating revenue. Internally, this position will interface with the President & CEO, Senior Directors of Regional Brand Experience, Community Impact, and Campus Administration, and the Board of Directors’ Development Committee. Externally, the DD will engage with funding organizations and program officers, Snug Harbor donors and members (current and prospective). Some evening and weekend work may be required.
Queens Botanical Garden seeks an energetic and visionary leader to be our next Director of Development. The Director of Development is responsible for annually raising approximately $4M from public and private sources and secures additional funds to support critical capital projects spanning the Garden’s 39-acre campus. Working with the Executive Director, Board of Trustees, and key staff leaders, the Director of Development devises and executes fundraising strategies to advance the ambitious ideas articulated in the Strategic and Master Plans and annual operating budget. The Major Gifts Officer is an essential member of the Development team that will be responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with prospective major gift donors and planned giving donors. This involves full use of moves management principles, including prospect identification, and developing effective stewardship and solicitation strategies. The Major Gifts Officer will compile this information in a donor portfolio and emphasize gifts in excess of $10,000, with emphasis on those over $25,000 or greater. This individual will serve as a staff representative on the Museum’s Development Committee of the Board, and work directly with staff leadership to coordinate and execute long-term fundraising initiatives. This is a full-time, regular position that reports directly to the Director, Individual and Major Gifts.
The Director of Major and Individual Gifts is an essential member of the Development team that will be responsible for managing the Museum’s individual funder portfolio. This role focuses on raising funds from individuals through membership, annual gifts, planned gifts, and major gifts overseeing all individual giving activities. The Director also leads a team of three staff members dedicated for major gift cultivation and stewardship, patron communications, household and library member renewals and reporting, membership retention and acquisition, and organizing events in conjunction with other Development team staff. Additionally, the Director secures restricted gifts for Museum exhibitions, public programs, and education programs. This is a full-time, regular position that reports directly to the Executive Vice President.
The Assistant will be responsible for maintaining the Salesforce donor database, processing acknowledgment letters, gifts, and memberships, conducting prospect research, and supporting special events. The Development Assistant reports to the Individual Giving and Events Manager and works closely with all members of the Development team.
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Associate Director of Membership and Annual Giving will help envision and execute all membership and annual giving efforts for gifts under $10,000. Through targeted direct marketing campaigns via analog and digital channels that include direct mail, email, website, and advertising, the Associate Director will establish strategic objectives and implement short-and long-terms tactics that leverage the Studio Museum’s brand and mission. The Garden seeks an Institutional Giving Coordinator to help grow institutional support from foundation, government (city, state, and federal), and corporate funders. The Director of Development (DOD) is a key member of the Executive Team and with the leadership of
the QM develops and manages the organization and business. They are responsible for and lead on all
aspects of revenue and income generating activities. Joining the QM at the time of exciting capital
expansion and the development of a Children's Museum, the DOD will lead on the development of a
Capital Campaign and a long term Development plan for QM. They will represent the Museum to a
broad spectrum of funders, community leaders, and external stakeholders. They are a member of the
senior team and participate in developing strategy with the Executive Team and Directors Group, and
the development and delivery of policies and a strategic business plan for QM.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the DOD works with the Executive Director and COO to ensure that
development strategies are aligned with the mission, vision, and values of the Queens Museum; lead
and manage the day-to-day activity of all development operations, including government, foundation,

and special events and programs.
The Institutional Relations and Grants Manager implements the Queens Museum’s institutional giving strategy by cultivating and stewarding new and existing relationships with private foundations, corporations, and governmental grantmaking agencies. This role is responsible for overseeing a $2 million portfolio of 50 institutional funders and a prospect pipeline. Key responsibilities include business development and relationship management, proposal writing, as well as rigorous tracking of correspondence, and cultivation and events.
The Public Theater is seeking a Patron Programs Manager. The Patron Programs Manager will work to cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors for The Public Theater with a focus on strategies to attract new general gift donors giving below $100 and members giving $100 or more, and to encourage existing members to increase or upgrade their current level of support. This position within the Individual Giving team will report to the Director, Patron Programs and Services.
The Development Manager manages the Membership Program and is in charge of The Bronx Museum’s donor database to ensure excellent data integrity while supporting the overall fundraising, communications and donor cultivation efforts. Responsibilities:
Support the Individual Giving team’s moves management process
Support the Individual Giving team’s fundraising efforts by assisting in the moves management process, including: maintaining prospect lists, tracking fundraising timelines, and project-managing fundraiser tasks
Track the Director of Individual and Major Gifts donor communications in Raiser’s Edge and keep contact records up-to-date
Work with Development Operations to process gifts and pledges, update gift opportunities, and pull reports from the database that further the Individual Giving team’s cultivation and stewardship efforts

Manage Patron Group administrative support
Working with the Associate Development Officer, support the drafting and mailing of both patron group membership renewal notices and gift acknowledgement letters; and prepare membership packets
Facilitate membership benefits fulfillment by coordinating ticket reservations for Museum events, securing parking passes, and supporting tour logistics
Coordinate with Development Operations to ensure that all memberships are up to date
Help manage and support cultivation events, including early-stage planning, pulling invitation lists, generating logistics, tracking RSVPs, supporting check-in, and liaising with vendors
Assist the Director of Individual and Major Gifts
Provide special administrative support to the Director of Individual and Major Gifts, including calendar management, fielding phone calls, drafting correspondence and memoranda, and financial and human resources reporting
Organizing logistics for the Director of Individual and Major Gifts’ donor meetings, both on- and offsite
