The Garden seeks an Institutional Giving Coordinator to help grow institutional support from foundation, government (city, state, and federal), and corporate funders. The Institutional Giving Coordinator will work as a member of the Development Department to meet—and strive to exceed—annual fundraising goals by securing institutional support for education, horticulture, environmental, and cultural programs as well as technological, planning, and capital initiatives. The Coordinator will report to the Director of Development and will work closely with the Assistant Director of Development, Executive Director, Deputy Director, Director of Programs, and other key staff members. The Coordinator will be a gifted writer with the ability to synthesize complex institutional goals into compelling narratives for current and prospective funders and will be at ease interacting with institutional donors. In a role that also requires coordination and communication with nearly all QBG departments, the successful candidate will also exhibit a passion for the Garden’s multifaceted mission—especially our cultural programming, sustainability and environmental initiatives, and educational and youth development work—a collegial spirit, and strong time management skills.
