Coordinator, Government Relations

Carnegie Hall seeks a Coordinator, Government Relations to support the tracking of relationships with elected officials and agencies at all levels of government and to raise awareness of and build support for the institution. The individual will provide administrative support to all aspects of Department’s responsibilities including scheduling, correspondence, database management, and records administration. Core activities include managing the department’s administrative processes; supporting the preparation of grant applications and reports on funded activities; drafting advocacy and cultivation materials for outreach to elected officials; and assisting with Government Relations and Development events.

Public Relations, Coordinator

Coordinate key PR systems at Carnegie Hall. Provide support for Carnegie Hall rental events in Zankel Hall and Weill Recital Hall, including work with Carnegie Hall outside licensees; training and scheduling of staff press escorts; and coordination of external requests for filming and photography at Carnegie Hall. Work with Assistant Director to organize CHC institutional photography. Assist with approval process for internal and external requests for images or use of Carnegie Hall name as needed. Write monthly PR event calendar. Work with Chief Communications Officer to update Carnegie Hall’s evergreen promotional materials including bios and organizational histories. Contribute to institutional newsletters. Work press duty for concerts and special events at Carnegie Hall, interfacing with journalists and photographers. Position provides back-up support for PR Assistant on off-days or as needed and assists with press ticketing for concerts and events when required

Public Relations Assistant

Provide administrative support to Carnegie Hall’s Public Relations office. Serve as frontline liaison with public and media, providing departmental phone coverage, fielding questions, and responding to requests as needed. Serve as Cision system administrator, coordinating and building media contact lists, collecting coverage, preparing daily press clip reports, and maintaining electronic clip files. Coordinate frequent electronic press release mailings, including HTML coding of materials. Manage day-to-day operations of media web site. Coordinate Public Relations office systems, including processing of departmental invoices. Assist department directors, managers, and associates as needed. Proofread materials as assigned, and participate in preparations for major announcements and special events. Some press duty, including escorting photographers/video crews and staffing special events as needed.
