The HR team at The Public Theater is a key department driving the development of the employee experience for an incredibly talented group of colleagues across an internationally renowned, not-for-profit, Off-Broadway theatrical organization. As a senior and highly valued member of the HR team, the Associate Director, HR Operations will report to and work collaboratively with the Senior Director, Human Resources to support and strategically partner with The Public’s New York City based employees (approximately 200 full and part-time employees, as well as 300+ variable hour employees staffing productions throughout the season) in the advancement of individual needs and organizational services and objectives.
The Associate Director, HR Operations will demonstrate proactive approaches to identify process improvements and implement solutions that will enhance delivery of HR services and/or increased efficiency and functionality of the HR team. The position oversees the operations of the talent management, payroll and benefits functions, as well as liaises with the Production Department, General and Company Management Teams, Finance and all other departments throughout the organization to meet HR-related goals. Supported by a team of two, the Associate Director will drive continued improvement towards the goal of supporting the employees of The Public and acting as a trusted thought partner for all departments.
