The Graphic Designer plays an integral role in the Brooklyn Museum’s Graphic Design Department. The designer is responsible for conceptualizing and designing innovative and compelling design for exhibitions, wayfinding, signage, publications, and print and digital projects, while maintaining and exploring the museum’s visual language in close collaboration with the other members of the design team.
Working in a highly collaborative studio setting, this role works on projects in all stages of the design process to support overall attendance and revenue goals, improve the visitors experience, and expand upon the Museum’s design language across visitor touch points.
The Graphic Design team is part of the Engagement division, a multifaceted team—including staff in digital communications, graphic design, marketing, merchandising, public relations, and visitor experience—responsible for leading the institution’s audience-engagement strategy with a focus on digital initiatives.
