Community Impact Coordinator

The Community Impact Coordinator (CIC) is an enthusiastic, polished, detail-oriented professional playing a crucial role on the Community Impact team. The Community Impact team (CI team) provides access to an open site, offers not-to-be-missed, transformative experiences, and maintains reliable, consistent service across all public-facing reception. The CIC supports the Senior Director, Community Impact (SDCI), and the CI team in many capacities. The highest priority is on ensuring a positive visitor experience for diverse audiences. The CIC works with a broad variety of clients to coordinate reliable, consistent service across all educational programming for students, seniors, tourists, and any group that services curious minds. The CIC manages the team calendar and designated administrative duties with discretion and precision, collaborating regularly with other departments. The CIC safeguards and improves the patron experience by maintaining and increasing professionalism and providing the professionalism of the Education staff, providing operational support. The Community Impact Coordinator reports to the Senior Director, Community Impact (SDCI).

Omnichannel Retail Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Omnichannel Retail Manager to join our team at the New York Hall of Science (NYSCI). As the Omnichannel Retail Manager, you will be responsible for procuring unique, ownable products, leading the expansion of our brick-and-mortar shop to an online platform, and re-imagining the cafe dining experience. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing the overall visitor experience and driving revenue growth through innovative retail strategies. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in retail management, a passion for customer service, and a creative mindset.

Clerical Associate III / Group Tours and Visitor Experience Associate

The Brooklyn Museum seeks a detail-oriented and highly responsible individual to join the Visitor Experience (VE) team as a departmental associate responsible for supporting group tours as well as providing general administrative support. The ideal candidate is a motivated, enthusiastic individual who takes initiative, communicates clearly, works independently, and carries projects through to completion.

Associate, Advancement Services Analyst

The Associate, Advancement Services Operations is responsible for supporting the Advancement Services team and overseeing the overall entry and maintenance of contributions, performance set-up, and ticket processes in the Tessitura database. They work with the Manager, Advancement Services Operations on gift accounting, financial, and database management tasks. This position also supports the Associate Director, Tessitura Ticketing Operations with performance season management responsibilities.

Visitor Services Associate

The Museum seeks enthusiastic and outgoing individuals with admissions and retail experience to join our Visitor Services/Admissions Department. The Associate serves the vital role of representing the Museum and welcoming guests from New York City and around the world. Applicants must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when required. This is a part-time position for up to 29 hours per week. The Visitor Services Associate reports to the Manager, Visitor Services/Admissions.

Director of Visitor Services

The Director of Visitor Services reports to the Chief Operating Officer and plays a key role in the senior management team overseeing the department that welcomes all visitors. The position is responsible for the operational logistics that facilitate a positive visitor experience. The Director is the liaison with Horticulture, Arts, Business Development and Marketing departments to ensure programmatic and event logistical needs on the grounds are met. The Director works closely with Facilities to coordinate smooth and efficient operations on the grounds.

Tours Outreach Coordinator

The Museum of the City of New York celebrates and interprets the city, educating the public about its distinctive character, especially its heritage of diversity, opportunity, and perpetual transformation. Founded in 1923 as a private, nonprofit corporation, the Museum connects the past, present, and future of New York City. It serves the people of New York and visitors from around the world through exhibitions, school and public programs, publications, and collections.

We are currently seeking a Part-time Group Tours Outreach Coordinator. The Group Experiences Coordinator reporting directly to the VP of Communications and Marketing, is responsible for the development and coordination of the group experiences at the Museum.

Museum Guide

The Museum Guide is responsible for making the Museum accessible to all different visitors by make the exhibitions come alive including, but not limited to, running group, private, and virtual experiences.

The Museum of the City of New York fosters understanding of urban life in NYC and engages visitors by interpreting the city’s past, present and future. Our Museum Guides make the connection for visitors between the Museum and the lived New Yorker experience.

Currently we are looking for freelance Museum Guides to lead experience of the following exhibitions; New York at Its Core, New York, New Music: 1980-1986, Activist New York and Puppets of New York.

This role pays $100USD per tour.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead 1-hour, in-person Exhibition Tours for groups of up to 25 people and/or 1-hour virtual experiences

o Required training will involve training on the tour (training pays $25/hr) and giving an observed test tour (test tour pays $100)

o Tours might be scheduled any day of the week, between 9am-5pm

  • Make our Exhibitions accessible to all audiences by being able to adapt information in a way that

    each visitor can relate to

  • Keep up-to-date on the subject matter of the tours you give
